12/17/2025 | Waldner hands over donation

Milchpilz does good: Waldner donates all proceeds from the sale of Milchpilz postcards to the Wangen-based association ‘Lichtblick – hilft Familien e.V.’

Marion Lang and Alexandra Jacobi (Lichtblick Association, from left) and Mayor Michael Lang (right) are delighted with the donation presented by Stephan Schaale (CFO of the Waldner Group, centre) on behalf of Waldner to the association ‘Lichtblick hilft Familien e.V.’.

The popular postcard motifs were designed by Waldner employee Matthias Bopp, Director of the Technical Centre, and his son Paul. The resulting postcard series, produced by Waldner and sold at the State Garden Show grounds and in Wangen retail outlets, was immediately very popular with visitors.

Together with the laps completed in this year's Altstadtstolperer race – for which Waldner also donated one euro per lap completed – a total of four thousand euros was raised. Stephan Schaale, CFO of the Waldner Group, is delighted with the result of the joint campaign: "We are proud that our employee's creative idea has turned into a project that brings joy to many people and at the same time helps families in difficult situations. The willingness of our employees to run in the Altstadtstolperer for a good cause has also contributed to this large donation. Creativity, commitment and regional solidarity – all of this has come together in this small but effective project."

Mayor Michael Lang also praised the initiative: "The postcard campaign shows how strong the sense of community is in Wangen. I would like to thank everyone involved – the Bopp father-son team, the Waldner Group and the many people who bought the cards. They are all helping to ensure that the Lichtblick association can continue its important work."

The ‘Lichtblick – hilft Familien’ association supports people in Wangen and the surrounding area who find themselves in difficult life situations. The donation that has now been presented will help to provide quick and uncomplicated assistance to affected families.
